Lord, I pray for my friends. You know their hearts far better than I do. You know their problems deeper than I could ever comprehend.

In just a few weeks our lifestyles have changed. Truth be told, it will probably continue to change as we get used to what we will now call normalcy.

Every day I wake up, and again life surprises me. Old problems that haven't been dealt with reappearing, new problems slapping you across the face as if they are there to stay.

Nothing happened to us, we just grew distant. The memories from high school still live within me, the random adventures still makes me smile, and our late night talks remain dear to me.

You are genuine. You are strong. You are compassionate. You are caring, valuable, and most importantly, authentic. I’m sorry that negative stereotypes always come back to haunt you.
